How to adjust the PH of your pool water

When the pool is clean it is necessary to balance the water. This means regulating the alkalinity, pH and hardness of calcium so that they are at the point necessary to protect pipes and surfaces from acid attack and corrosion.
Ph is a measure of the acidity of pool water. It is important to maintain the pH level between 7.2 and 7.6.
Calcium hardness should be measured at the beginning and end of summer and should be moved between 200 to 250 ppm (particles per million).

It is advisable to carry out a weekly maintenance of the pool to keep the water in optimum conditions. Such maintenance would consist of:
– Analyze the pH of the water and adjust it to the desired levels between 7,2 y 7,6.
– The level of disinfectant should also be checked to keep it at the correct levels.
– Add a dose of anti-algae at the beginning of each season and every 15 days on a regular basis..
– Clean the water of impurities.
– Clean the skimmer and pre-filter baskets.
– If the water is cloudy, flocculant must be added to agglomerate the impurities present in the water and remove them once they are deposited in the bottom.
– Check the saturation degree of the filter
